I’m a Welsh transplant in New York. I provide go to market services and Sales and Marketing consultancy from my base at Hengarth – my working sheep farm in the beautiful Catskill Mountains.

In 2021, I created Hengarth  – my own hospitality, events and consultancy business. Hengarth is 101 acres of meadows and forest, on which I’ve built a rare-breed sheep farm and a space for corporate offsites, workshops and my consultancy services during the working week. The goal is to provide a breath of fresh air through both work and place.

A marketing leader and business growth specialist, I’ve spent the last (almost!) two decades working in B2B and technology marketing and sales. Most recently, I was Vice President of Marketing at a tech start-up in the investment management space, where I led and scaled sales and marketing from launch. Prior to that I was a strategic consultant and associate director at a boutique agency, helping B2B clients go-to-market across Europe and US.

I took the leap to launch Hengarth to re-find some balance, and I’ve found it the perfect way to combine and share my start-up, growth marketing and go-to-market expertise with a new perspective on sustainability, my passion for nature and a real connection to place.

I grew up surrounded by sheep farming and agri-tourism in Wales. This connection to sustainable agriculture and my passion for the Catskills – which is so very reminiscent of Wales with its lush mountains and valleys –  remains a central pillar of Hengarth and it’s  ethos.

I’m equally at home running a go to market strategy session and helping teams find revenue opportunity, as I am tending to my registered rare-breed sheep flock and 70 acres of forest. The latter is a challenge I embarked on with zero experience just three years ago.  And I wouldn’t have it any other way. In fact, if you’re a business client of Hengarth, I’ll encourage you to also participate in both!

On this blog, I explore the world of enterprise technology and all things B2B sales, revenue and marketing and in parts I’ll dig into musings around sustainability and environment. I hope some of it makes good sense, and that some of it is interesting. I try not to rant.
